Sreesanth is finally set to return to active cricket after completing his ban, as the fast bowler has been included in the 26-man squad of probables for the Kerala senior state team ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The T20 tournament is scheduled to begin on January 2.
Sreesanth has been eligible to play from September 13 this year, but with the start of the domestic season delayed due to the pandemic, the pacer has been made to wait to make his return.
The 37-year-old Sreesanth and the other 25 Kerala players, including the likes of Sanju Samson, Sachin Baby and Jalaj Saxena, will be taking part in a preparatory camp at SD College Ground in Alappuzha from December 20 to 30.
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the domestic T20 tournament, is the only competition so far to be confirmed by the BCCI for the 2020-21 season.
